Rosé of Pinot Noir

Each year, we farm and harvest one block of our Estate vineyard specifically for Rosé. Our Dijon 115 clone of Pinot Noir is perfect for this, as it offers great acidity and thinner skins for a delicate fruit profile. We harvest early in the morning, when the fruit is cold, and take it directly to our press to capture the fruit’s natural, fresh fruit characteristics. The juice is then fermented on the lees for 3 months in neutral French oak to help develop complexity while still preserving freshness.

Donum Vineyard

Spanning nearly 200 acres, the Donum Vineyard is home to our oldest plantings, the Donum Home, our state-of-the-art production facility, and our renowned art collection, The Donum Collection. Nestled in the rolling hills that rise from the San Pablo Bay, the vineyard is divided into more than 25 distinct blocks and sub-blocks, each showcasing a diverse array of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones—including a proprietary Donum clone and heirloom selections. Planted between 1990 and 2022, these estate vines are meticulously farmed by Donum’s dedicated winemaking and vineyard teams.
